My
Poems from Spirit
After my
awakening, I began to write poems…these poems were of a spiritual nature. I would have to jump out of the shower or
stop whatever I was doing to write whole poems down. This had never happened to
me before and after a while it began to scare me. I asked God for it to stop. I didn’t write again for many years but
slowly as my understanding grew, my “Gift of Poetry from Spirit” began to
manifest again. The first poem I wrote
is on the first page, “Who Am I?”

Count to
Ten…then Count Again
We spend a lot
of our time I know…working up anger and letting it go!
We may not even
be angry at any particular thing…
It just seems
to get out…bad news it always brings!
I wish my anger
to fly away…and never ever come back…
It serves no
useful purpose…it even gives heart attacks!
Why, I’ve even
seen some anger…make monsters out of men!
Really, I swear
it’s true…No, I haven’t touched the gin!
Yes, anger can
even change white faces into red…
Black faces
into bitterness…those looks I always dread!
I guess it’s
not the anger…as much as what comes then…
Then next day
we end up wondering…How it might have been!
It took from us
our J.F.K….his brother and the rest…
Snuffed out our
dear Martin…and somehow it’s our best!
It takes away
the unique ones…the beautiful and the brains…
What anger will
wipe out next…shall give us all some pains!
The only cure
for this disease…is LOVE and nothing less…
If we don’t
wake up pretty soon…there’ll be naught to confess!
No trees…no movies…no
Halloween…no music…no kisses…no whipping cream!
We’re heading
into Danger! Danger! All because of that word ANGER!

Faith
in me… A star you see…
At
least that’s what you said!
A
way to go… and seeds to sow…
But
mainly in my head!
I
know I’m strong… it won’t be long…
But
God, it’s hard to wait!
My
wants you know… so I will grow…
you
seem to anticipate!
Your
smile so sweet… my needs complete!
Your
patience fills my heart!
I
know it’s you… and you do too
We
both did from the start!
And
when it’s grown… when we’re full blown…
and
others start to stare!
We’ll
look and grin… ’cause it’s no sin…
It’s
normal to walk on air!

Standing by
God’s… great River of Life…
I jump in again… and to my delight…
I’m soaked… clean through…
With God’s gentle Love… such sweet tasting brew!
The bare essence of… my soul’s desire…
Love's greatest test… my heart’s on fire!
The only way… to squelch my soul’s heat…
Is jump in again… from head to feet!
I could stay right here… forever & ever…
God's precious Love... brought my soul to tether!

strife!
So often… late our lessons
learned…
We recoil… our fingers burned!
To recognize… our immortality,
Will take our souls… from
jeopardy!
Please don’t wait… until the
end…
It’s not too late… your Love to
send!
Peace shines forth… for all to
see…
The love of God… will set you
free!

Across the Gap
We
bridged the Gap, you and I… I’m so darn happy, I could almost Cry…
You
reached out, I took your hand… We stood firm, we took a stand!
And
proved it’s all, a fallacy… They look at us, with jealousy…
If
people only knew, It’s Great! I hope they do, before too Late!
You are
my lover, I am your friend… We’ll stand together, until the End…
Our
example, for all to see… And with the
truth, they’ll be set free!
The joy
they’ll get, from crossing over… They’ll make new friends, find a brother…
But
all-in-all, they’ll see it’s true… That LOVE for mankind, is the glue!
Love
cements us, all together… It’s so darn strong, it’ll last forever…
The
legacy, we’ll leave our kin? We’ve been
to hell, and back again!
Through
the fire, ’till we could see… We crossed the Gap, our souls are free…
To get
across, it’s worth the pain… All of our prejudices, have been slain!
We stand
together, we stand so tall… We’ll stand until, they hear our call…
We call
to YOU, and YOU and YOU… We say what we did, you can too!
Just
look inside, a soul and heart… You’ll set the glue, no one can part…
Extend a
hand, hold on for life… Across the Gap…there is no strife!
We do
not beg, we will not plea… Our Love tells all, and All will See!

Yargo
“Dedicated to Jacqueline Susann”
From the stars, my Yargo came… he
picked me up one night
From that moment, I’m not the
same… and it’s certainly not from fright!
I looked at him… he looked at
me… it was as with a chord,
Inside my heart… melody… was cutting
like a sword!
Not only was the tune quite new…
the rhythm near sublime…
And in the end, the symphony… was
way ahead its’ time!
The pain I felt was dazzling… the
pleasure seared, I’m sure!
Wherever this trip takes me… I
do not want the cure!
Jacqueline, you did not go… so
very far away,
For in your book, I met Yargo… the
joy is here to stay!
I wish I could have said, “Thanks
so much!”… to you and so much more…
Now I must say for those … Me too…
who knew and loved Yargo!

“Naughty boys”, poppa said, “have
a way of tellin’!”
Little trees, at my knees, have a
way of growin’…
Ol’ black folk, on the farm, have
a way of hoein’!
Determined men, on their way up,
have a way of stabbin’…
Pushy women, tired of sharing,
have a way of gabbin’…
Mother Nature, at her best, has
her way of showin’…
Little children, on Daddy’s knees,
have their way of glowin’!
All HIS Love, if anyone cares, is
yours for the askin’…
Just come on in, you’re free of
sin…
For in HIS LOVE you’re baskin’!

An Angel of light… descended
one night…
Came to my room… dispelled all
my gloom!
Said, “Fear, Never More… just
open the door!
Don’t wait too long… for
heavenly song…
We’re always right here… you
don’t have to fear!
We lift you with Light… so Love
can take flight…
The answer’s inside… where none
can deny
The truth from above… said the
Angel of Love!
God’s Garden of Love… sent with His Light…
Resides in us all… just give us
a call!
We’ll always be here… transcending
all fear…
And lighting your way… to
fields where God plays!
Please join us real soon… there’s
plenty of room…
We’ll laugh and have fun… send
fear on the run!”
Then Angel of Light… departed
in flight!
Said, “Fear never more… Fear
never more!”

Our
garden grew from our delight...
And
every day… is the first night!
On your
sweet lips does my song start..
I heard
your voice... you touched my heart!

lips have tried my song...
But in
your arms… do I belong!
At
birth our garden's seeds were sown...
And
when we met... Love was full grown!
The
weeds were already weeded out...
The
stalks were strong, firm and stout!
The
flower's names we knew by heart...
And
from our garden… we'll never part!
It was
so easy... to come on in!
I saw
you smile... you saw me grin!
We are
so thankful… that we knew

Journey to OZ
Traveling down… the yellow brick
road…
We often seek… to lighten our
load!
Many’s the time… we neared
destinations…
Only to wind up… with many
frustrations!
Journey we Must… to end up in OZ…
Often the times… we give up the
cause!
Adventures we find… without even
looking…
Sometimes it’s true… our gooses
were cooking!
But onward we trod… forever
searching…
Backwards and forwards… and
sideways we’re lurching!
The monkeys are flying… and
playing their tricks…
The witches are cackling… and
riding their sticks!
And still we go forth… to seek Emerald City…
No one knows why… they look on
with pity!
We each have a wish… deep in our
soul…
That carries us onward… we must
reach our goal!
We’re not even positive… what we
may find…
We only must get there… our
faith, “Is it blind?”
Onward to OZ… Onward We Go…
For deep in our spirit… we honor
our soul!

"REMEMBRANCES REVEALED"
Since
I was a little kid... a couple of years, or so, ago...
I've
had trouble understanding... why we hurt each other so!
Once
I saw an old black man... carrying a mattress on his bent head...
He
had to step off the sidewalk... to let some white folks get ahead!
I
felt the pain he was dealt...and deep inside... the humiliation he felt!
I
was only a small white child... southern middle class at that...
But
my brow wrinkled up... I wanted to knock those grown-ups flat!
I
saw so many dreadful things... I knew they all were wrong...
As
now I know how Yoko felt... when they ended her sweet John's song!
You
see, there was more than one man, who fingered that deadly gun...
Just
as I know more will do it... before the war is won!
This
isn't a new or different war... it's as old as brother Cain!
Until
prejudice and hate is dead... Alienation is going to rein!
No
one wanted their Beatle man... to marry his Japanese bride...
Why
couldn't they see her beauty within?
They made her feel she had to hide!
And
every day across this land... another Lennon hits the ground!
Another
Yoko is left alone... with hateful people all around!
I
certainly hope this is getting through... to each and every one of you!
You
know who you are... so what else can I do?
Except to say... One day…
Let's
imagine you've finally found the man of your dreams!
But
your folks don't like him… his family is too poor it seems...
Your
friends all say, "He's so short... she's too fat! ... He's much too old!”
People
stare at you and retort... “She doesn't seem to fit our mold!”
What
will you do when that day comes? I pray
that you don't break...
And
give away your one true love... for pious people's sake!
God
loves us all... just as we are... no matter what our skin… or sin!
He
only asks us that we “LOVE”... and not give up on HIM!
He
doesn't forbid having fun... or even smoking pot!
He
only says..."Don't Pig out!"
And that covers quite a lot!
I
pray, someday, I'll see that man again! I'll
help him with his heavy weight…
Then
we will walk… hand in hand... Up to that Pearly Gate!
